Bavaria 55 Cruiser

 • The Bavaria 55 Cruiser is the flagship of the German shipyard and was the result of their collaboration with Farr Yacht Design and BMW Group Designworks USA. Its size and scope make it an ideal boat to rent and enjoy a comfortable charter. The generous dimensions of the Bavaria 55 Cruiser are noticeable inside and outside, where the bow has 5 metres free with flush hatches where you can comfortably sunbathe. The cockpit is also very spacious and can accommodate 10 people comfortably. In the stern, there’s a transom that folds down, leaving a swim platform of 2 square metres for you to enjoy the sun and swimming. Lowering the platform also gives you access to the dinghy. When sailing, the twin steering wheels make the Bavaria 55 very comfortable to handle in any direction. Given its large size it is not a particularly fast boat but it is very comfortable and stable.

 • Yacht charter in Tenerife
 •
Why not spend your next holiday in Spain and rent a boat in Tenerife this year? Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and is situated to the northeast coast of Morocco in the Atlantic Ocean. The average annual temperature is 22ºC, making boat rental in Tenerife an ideal destination all year round. If you rent a boat, yacht or catamaran and go sailing in Tenerife you will not regret it as there is so much to explore. Tenerife has a population of around 900,000 people, although despite this high population many locations on the island remain relatively untouched and if you rent a boat and decide to sail one of our motor yachts bareboat for example, you could explore these areas by yourself. If you want to, you can sail to great towns, ports (puerto in Spanish) and beautiful bays like Adeje or Cristianos.

Renting a boat in Tenerife is a worthwhile idea as the island’s year-round warm and sunny climate makes it a favourite destination amongst yacht enthusiasts. Private boat hire in Tenerife provides the opportunity to explore the island’s coastline and its many benefits, such as beautiful coves, whale watching, sunbathing, diving and the island itself. Renting a boat on a sailing adventure in Tenerife allows you to visit the capital Santa Cruz, the island’s volcano and its traditional villages or enjoying the coast’s vibrant nightlife which enhances your experience of boat hire in Tenerife.

What to do in Tenerife?

Tenerife’s centrepiece is El Teide, the island’s volcano, which at 3,700m tall is the highest point in Spain. A visit to the volcano whilst you rent a boat will allow you to take in the breath-taking views it provides over the island, such as the contrast between the park’s rocky terrain and the blue expansiveness of the ocean. El Teide National Park is one of the largest protected areas in the EU, with approximately 42% of the island being under protection.

A visit to the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, situated on the island’s northern coast is highly recommended. It is a city filled with character, with various attractions such as theatres and squares, such as the Plaza de España and Plaza de Weyler. Why not walk through the city’s old bohemian streets, and stop for a drink at one of the city’s ocean view bars? A particular attraction is the Auditorio de Tenerife, Tenerife’s Opera House, where you can not only see Opera, but also a variety of different shows. This had led to Tenerife being nicknamed the ‘Sydney of the Atlantic’, as it is also a modern architectural symbol of the island. Rent a boat in Tenerife from aBoatTime and visit the Auditorio de Tenerife from beautiful angles on the water.

Boat hire in Tenerife is a fantastic opportunity for you to visit one of the island’s major attractions is the Santa Cruz Carnival, held every February in the island’s capital. Second only to Rio de Janeiro’s festivals, it attracts people from all over the world, with over 100 music groups taking part, it encourages people to celebrate on the streets, and most wear typical fancy, flamboyant dress. Feel free to embrace the carnival, but you don´t have to join in!

Elsewhere on the island, there are numerous other scenic locations. For example, San Miguel de Abona, on the southern part of the island, allows you to go horse riding. Additionally, the Acantilados de los Gigantes, or the Cliffs of the Giants, located on Tenerife’s south-western coast, are particularly spectacular when seen by boat. Why not go sailing in Tenerife now and see these amazing sights first-hand! Finally, if you rent a boat in Tenerife, you give yourself the chance to see dolphins and whales that share the sea that you sail your yachts and boats with. Who knows maybe you could even go diving with some dolphins?

Beaches and Coves

De las Teresitas beach

This beach is perfect if you are travelling with children as there are many beach activities such as volleyball and aerobics that they can partake in. De las Teresitas is located near Santa Cruz and is unusual for having white sand, imported from the Sahara, unlike most of the island’s naturally occurring black volcanic beaches. It is one of the island’s most popular bays, and is the perfect place to swim and snorkel, due to its calm waters. If you are passionate about marine life, there are fantastic opportunities to go on a submarine safari on your chartered yacht holiday in Tenerife and see even more underwater spectacles of The Mediterranean.

De las vistas beach

Is the sister beach of “de los Cristianos” beach, some consider the two beaches as just one, as they are only separated by the southern port. They share a privileged location in one of the most animated areas of the region. It is ideal for both relaxing and fun.

Beach of Troy

Located in the southern part of the island, this beach has golden sand and clear blue waters, in addition it has all the necessary facilities for visitors to enjoy their day to the fullest and participate in some water sports.

Del Camison beach

Del Camison, is barely 100 meters in length and is totally protected from the waves, so sit back, relax and sunbathe in front of the calm waves.

Gastronomy

Choose your preferred sailboat model and enjoy your private boat hire in Tenerife, spending your holidays sailing round its volcanic coasts and enjoying its unique cuisine, fresh seafood and the famous papas arrugadas, or Canarian potatoes, which are served with a pepper sauce called “mojo”. The island is also home to numerous vineyards, producing wine unique to the island, including Tacoronte–Acentejo and Abona. You can also tour the island’s wineries and vineyards if you want to, just don’t drink too much!

There are a variety of interesting things to do and see with family or friends whilst enjoying hiring a boat in Tenerife, both in summer and winter. Despite its small size, the island offers a huge variety of landscapes; more than 140 scenic bays, coves and exotic black-sand volcanic beaches, large pine forests, vineyards, olive groves and much more. A boat rental holiday in Tenerife will be the experience of a lifetime, all this is waiting for you on your sailing charter to the Mediterranean as you explore Tenerife and the Canary Islands. Isn’t it aBoatTime you rent a boat in Tenerife?
