Gothenburg has an Oceanic climate. In summer, there are highs of between 19-22ºC and lows of 10-13ºC. In winter highs range from 0-2ºC, with lows of between -2 and -4ºC. Rainfall is rather abundant in the region, with summer and autumn the rainiest seasons and spring the driest.

By plane

Gothenburg-Landvetter is Gothenburg’s main airport, located 25km away from the city. Gothenburg-City Airport is closer, located just 15km from the city.

By train

The X2000 high-speed train runs between Gothenburg and Stockholm, and takes just 2 hours and 4 minutes. All long distance trains have 1st and standard classes, a restaurant car and a car for pets. Night trains usually have sleeper cars.

By car or bus

The Öresund bridge connects Copenhagen with Malmö, making your trip to Sweden by land even easier. The bridge toll depends on what kind of vehicle you’re travelling in; motorcycles have the lowest toll, whilst buses over 9 metres long have the highest.
