June to September can be classed as the summer period and is the most popular for yacht charter in Rhodes. The average high temperature sits at 28°C at the beginning and end of the season, reaching a peak of 31°C in July and August. Aegean Airlines flies to Munich via Thessaloniki both in summer and winter. In the tourist season from May until October, Rhodes is connected by regular and charter flights to other European cities, including Milan, Frankfurt, Pisa, Bournemouth, Kaunas, Amsterdam and Rome, as well as with many charter flights from other destinations like Paris, Brussels, Budapest and more. To get to Rhodes city centre, a bus service is available from the airport for a very low price.

By bus:
There are no buses from the mainland to Rhodes, but for getting around the island, there are two types of bus services. The Roda lines connect Rhodes with the surrounding areas, while KTEL operates service to most of the towns and villages on the island.

Ferry service is also available to other popular Greek islands, including Crete and Santorini. The trip from Athens to Rhodes takes about 15 hours. Catamarans operate on a daily schedule in summer months between Rhodes and Marmaris, Turkey.

By car:
