Situated on the coast of the Ionian Sea, Corfu enjoys a hot, dry summer like so much of the Mediterranean. The high summer season takes place between June and September, with the hottest months being July and August. During this peiod, average temperatures vary from 23ºC and 25ºC, at times temperatures will reach well into the 30s. The shoulder seasons to summer offer reduced crowds, wseas above 20ºC and cooler days, averaging around 21ºC and so therefore offer alternative for a yacht charter in Corfu. The winter months are much colder and significantly wetter, with the worst rain arriving in November.

By plane

Corfu International Airport, just 2 km from the city, receives daily flights from Athens and weekly arrivals from other nearby islands. There are also international flights available from many other European cities, although the majority of them operate only during the summer season. The airport is connected with the town of Corfu by a public bus and a taxi service.

By bus

The private bus transport company Corfu KTEL provides a daily connection between Corfu and Athens, Patra, Thessaloniki and many other cities. The excellent transport connections allow you to combine day trips to a number of cities with your yacht charter in Corfu.

By boat

The main ports in Corfu are Neo Limani and Paleo Lima. The Neo Limani port has a ferry service from Venice, Ancona, Bari, Brindisi in Italy; Himara and Saranda in Albania and Igoumenitsa and Patras. The Paleo Lima port offers service to the island of Vidos.

By car

Driving from Athens, take the Athens-Patra national motorway heading to Patra. From Patra, there are two options: take a boat, or continue your drive on to Igoumenitsa and then take a ferry to Corfu. Driving from Thessaloniki, follow the Egnatia Odos until Igoumenitsa and take the ferry to Corfu.
